December 5, 2013: Good Food, Great Friends!

Last night we went out for Becky's 31st birthday (her birthday was actually black Friday, and she now shares her birthday with a beautiful new nephew). We had dinner at The Catch, and despite the 1+ hour wait for a table for 8, it was perfect as usual. The server, Meegan, was great. The food came out quickly and was delicious. We topped it off with some SmallCakes which were quickly devoured. After dinner we slid over to Harvest Moon for another beer and some Jodi Mann. Ryan and I turned in fairly early as Ryan had to work today, but we had a great night with really great friends!

December 5, 2013: Hangin' Out

Bob could only have what I assume is similar to jet lag from his long flight from the North Pole, because today he only decided to hang out on some artwork in the kitchen. Real original, Bob. 

December 4, 2013: Bob's Baaaaaaaaaaaack!

It's just not the holidays yet until Bob returns from the North Pole with a touch a naughty and nice all in the same little red elf suit. This year, Bob arrived with a note and treats: 

Chase, Evie & Liam,

I'M BACK from the North Pole, 

I've missed you, my dears!

Santa's sent me again

To be his eyes and his ears.

Every night I will fly to

Give Santa advice.

 Whether you were naughty that day,

What a dear friend Bob is to the kids. He brought Chase a pack of Pokemon cards (because he obviously knows Chase is running low on those), Evie a My Little Pony comic book, and Liam a Velociraptor (his new BFF). And Bob showed up just in the knick of time. Being it was the morning of December 4th, Ryan and I (and the little blonde girl who lives with us) were getting a little antsy in anticipation of his arrival. I guess he wanted to help decorate for the holidays by stringing up some Apple Jacks.

Day 3, 12/8/11

It was pretty chilly outside last night, and Bob and the new friends he's made decided to have a bon fire and roast s'mores.

Day 2, 12/7/11

Bob told me he'd really wanted to attach the plane to the ceiling fan to go for a real flight, but the fan just couldn't handle the weight of the plane. Bummer :(. The kids would have loved that. But they think he's pretty silly anyway.

BOB IS BACK! - Day 1, 12/6/11

He's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! Fishing for a few goldfish on the kitchen counter this morning. The kids are SO excited. Especially Evie. She thought about him all day at school. When I asked her how her day had been, she told me "I was just so happy Bob is back again!", with the biggest, prettiest little smile on her face.
